Gunther tells Cody Rhodes to sign contract professionally on SmackDown

Gunther confronted Cody Rhodes on SmackDown after Paul Heyman secured him a title match at Clash in Italy. Gunther accused Rhodes of turning the contract signing into a personal spotlight and demanded he behave professionally.

Rhodes set up the ring himself and placed the contract on the table. He reminded Gunther that Heyman had arranged the favor and told him to step into the ring and sign.

Royce Keys then entered the ring and offered to sign the contract if Gunther refused. SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis canceled the guaranteed title shot and booked Gunther against Keys for later in the show.

Gunther defeated Keys after a distraction from Solo Sikoa allowed him to powerbomb Keys for the pin. Rhodes attacked Gunther from behind as he celebrated the victory.
