Bodycam Shows Woods Sobriety Test Before DUI Arrest

Tiger Woods underwent a field sobriety test captured on bodycam footage after crashing his car last week in Martin County, Florida. He registered triple zeros on a breathalyzer but performed the tests due to lethargic movements and other signs of impairment noted by deputies. Woods was handcuffed and charged with driving under the influence after struggling with several exercises.

Woods informed deputies of seven back surgeries, more than 20 leg operations, a fused ankle and a limp from a 2021 car wreck that caused serious injuries and sidelined him from golf for the year. He said he takes prescription medications. Deputies modified the tests for his condition, conducting them seated, including eye tracking, finger-to-nose touches, palm-to-back hand alternations with counting, and fist-clapping sequences.

This marks Woods' second DUI arrest, following one in 2017. Bodycam video shows Woods asking a deputy, "I'm getting arrested?" after the tests, with the deputy confirming, "Yes sir," before handcuffing him.

A judge granted Woods permission to seek treatment abroad. In a statement posted to social media earlier this week, Woods said he would step away to focus on his health and recovery, forgoing a return to golf.
